Water treatment research experiment

According to me, an idea thought of many years ago would be the perfect tool to help us efficiently filter water. I have been working on a prototype and have gotten very far as well. There was an expedition to an isolated island off the coast of Puerto Rico where the people didn't have any spices to cook their food with. All they had was plenty of water blocked by a coastal shelf. Well, they had plenty of salt, they only had to look for it. Some time passed and the cleverest of them decided to build a filtration system so they could drink fresh water and use the salt as a spice in their food. It was a double benefit ! But this is just basic. I am working on a drop, that will float above the selected area of sea, and a suction pipe will drop down and suck 1000 ml of water at a time, and this will go into its filtration chamber; wherein, the water gets filtered through a 4 step processing filter made of porous natural rocks like dolomite and silica. The filtered water is separated and stored and brought back to you.
